Awesomed By Comics Podcast Episode #153

This episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you bythe first time any comic book podcast in the world has used the phrase "Tongue and Rectals." Some fun with Shadowpa...excuse me, "Justice League Dark" and antics ensue as the cosmic Marvels invade the regular Marvels. Rachel Rising is &%#$@& CREEPY, Miles Morales's dad is gonna bite it unless he doesn't, and Bendis and Bagley have a pretty entertaining crack at the same creator-owned superhero story we've seen half a dozen times elsewhere. Also, "Wolverine The Best There Is" continues to be one of the best there is. Also also, we didn't hate Voodoo as much as we hated Red Hood.

Plus more horsepower fun, PLUS more cat antics, PLUS Aaron takes some allergy medicine! YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS THIS EPISODE!! UNLESS YOU CAN!!

Is this a reboot? Or maybe an episode 152.1? I know! It's a variant!

Lebeau2501, we better bag and board this one. This issue is gonna be worth a ton in ten years.

Just be aware that episodes 1-151 now never happened, and that Aaron isn't wearing any pants.....

Evie then must have retractable pants, like Wonder Woman (only explanation!)

Keep rockin' us with the awesomeness, boss podcastery!

No joke, those sample pages look great! I'm not an artist at all (my teacher failed me three years in a row), so I really envy how good these look. Can't wait to see the whole story.

If an art teacher failed you, they weren't teaching you very well, were they?

Power Horse's secret identity could only be Clark Canter! Bruce Whinney?

I'm sorry.

Lebeau2501 said...

Power Horse has a secret identity, but Power Horse has not been revealed to the world in this scene. His name is not going to be Chef Horsel Hooverson, either. The sheriff character is not technically a bad guy, but he is not a very good guy either. All will be revealed in time.

Oh, and my cat Olive loves those milk rings, too. She'll play with them and sometimes chew them up. She's never swallowed them or choked.

The episode sums up my opinion on the DC relaunch exactly- The quality is about the same overall, but the exercise exposed some ugliness in DC's workings and made me even more cynical about comics

Bracce yourself, Mr Ed appeared before me and revealed the True Name of Power Horse … Steed Rogers! The strip looks great.

June Moone's always been a blonde, honest :)

Aaron, I'll agree on the 'too much product' thing, but I think it's a bit unfair to blame DC because you didn't take a pull list to the shop.

Are they still making Iron Man Armored Adventures? I haven't seen a new episode in a long time.
