This episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by Comics Alliance, which is like having a podcast about the internet and having it fake-sponsored by Google, but we happened to be joined by a very special guest, Comics Alliance's very own proprietor Laura Hudson, so we were duty-bound. HEY ANY GUESSES AS TO WHAT THE CRAP WAS? Here's a hint .... it was Starfire. OH DAMNIT I FORGOT TO USE THE NEW MUSIC. Oh well. Sing it in your heads this week. I'll replace the old one in the template next week. Also we get some awesome recommendations including Craig Thompson's extremely intriguing new book, Daredevil continues to be unfair to every other comic, we dig the first Wonder Woman and Batman and Marvel's mutant heroes take a turn for the villainous in two different books.

Covers of the week:
And from the mind of ABCP Teen Patroller Greg Deaner comes the story of POWER HORSE: THE HORSE WITH HORSEPOWER!!

Oh man, those horses are AMAZING.
Laura Hudson has seen my horse drawings. Now I have to deliver. I feel like I need a deadline.
So for most of the day Ive been thinking what kind of Rogue's Gallery Power Horse, the Horse with Horsepower, would have. Like; The Jockey (who wields an electrified riding crop), or the insidious Hydra-like horse-murder cult the Glue Factory, or the Zebrawler, who looks like a horse but fights like the Hulk.
For the awkward Silver Age throwback attempt at diversty: Horse of a Different Color.
Wouldn't that be "Dark Horse"
How about a female horse? Mighty Mare? For villains, the sinister sheep? The Equine Eliminator? The Carnivorous Cow?
SWEET JEBUS I'LL TAKE A SEA HORSE ACTION FIGURE, PLEASE.
In fact, I'll take two.
Can't argue with Aaron's Cover of the Week. That Daredevil #4 needs to be a poster pronto.
Laura Hudson's article from CA on Starfire and Catwoman needs to be read by editors, on, say, a yearly basis, just as a friendly reminder. Looks like this weeks Voodoo #1 didn't help matters much.
I don't think Cyclops and Wolvie fightin' over in Schism is that forced, the divorce has been brewing for a few years now, really. It's also totally possible that I was so transfixed by Alan Davis' art that I didn't mind. I have adored Davis' take on Marvel since Excalibur.
Wolverbroad,
-Shawn
Edit: Daredevil #4 was Evie's cover, not Aarons. My brain broke, sorry!
oooh, oooh, this one's been used before, but how about this for Power Horse's sidekick: Kid Colt?
This has nothing to do with horses or comics, but since I know Aaron is a baseball fan...HOLY CRAP WHAT AN AWESOME NIGHT OF BASEBALL!! As a St. Louisan and Cardinal fan I was particularly happy, but I cannot remember a better last night of the season! Hope you got to enjoy some of those games Aaron.
Laura Hudson is quite sexable.
Glad that was your takeaway from this episode, sir! Or ma'am!
cool and smart - good outlook on sexy time- Good take away.
All the stuff about this Redhood being garbage is obvious.
Those are some great superhorses, but my favorite will always be Norbert from The Maxx...

Power Horse's sidekick will be Power Pony. Mighty Mare was an idea I had, and the Glue Factory was going to be an antagonist, that is, until you guys started mentioning them. Now I feel like I'd be stealing. Rocking Horse was one that I forgot to mention. Zebrawler is awesome! I wish I would have thought of that one. I did want to have a Zebra character, but again, now I feel like I'd be stealing the idea. NO MORE BRAINSTORMING!
