ABC Podcast, Episode #79 plus visual aids

This Superbowl Sunday episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by Raisins! For some reason? Or how about the New Orleans Saints. That's probably more topical. Wolverine Weapon X is sweet, and Sweet Tooth is bitter, and both are awesome; Wonder Woman still isn't selling the Star Sapphire thing, and Aaron pans Nova, because the weekend's killer snowstorm apparently made it to hell. A new season of "Lost" premieres, and nachos.

People who rule

I'm assuming just by certain transitive properties that at least 50 percent of the people who read this site are Rachel Maddow fans to one degree or another. Anyway, in case you didn't want her to be your pretend girlfriend badly enough, read this, wherein she piles love on Queen & Country. Somewhere, some Greg Rucka fan fic author is shipping the hell out of Rachel Maddow and Renee Montoya, and the sun shines a little brighter. Happy New Year!

Together again for the first time

I won't be able to pick up any books until later in the afternoon but I just had to mention this morning* how deeply I'm looking forward to Final Crisis: Revelations, the first issue of which comes out today. Rucka + Montoya + Allen + Question + Spectre = Yes. I have my problems with the main Final Crisis series, but I am strongly optimistic that this tie-in will slalom around many of those holes. And if it doesn't, I'm sure we can all find something external to blame it on.

*Also, I don't want yesterday's post at the top of the page.
