Awesomed By Comics Podcast Episode #156

This return-to-regular-sized episode of ABCP is brought to you by week two of the Bananarama (etc) fanfiction challenge, along with some handy suggestions of properties one could fanfictionalize. In a week with three major surprises, there are no surprises at all among our winners, as Daredevil and Journey Into Mystery take home top honors, like they both almost always do when they come out. Aside from that, a strong but creepy-as-hell start to Garth Ennis and Mike Wolfer's Stitched, another great issue of Incorruptible, and a twist in Avengers Academy that had us both beaming when we read it.

Oh, and there's a box full of ladies.

Awesomed By Comics Podcast Episode #154

This episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by the final standings from this year's Awesomed By Fantasy Baseball league, which ended with Power Listener Dann's team beating Fellow Podcaster Tom's team in the finals. Aaron's team only beat the other two people who also gave up on the league sometime in May. Great week for The Boys, The Penguin, Moon Knight and Chew. Either a good or a terrible week for Avengers and the end of Schism, depending on who you ask about either. And the best-ever week for the Bone Baron, who is a skeleton pimp with a lance, riding a donkey.

Also, Evie's mom says hi!

Awesomed By Comics Podcast Episode #153

This episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you bythe first time any comic book podcast in the world has used the phrase "Tongue and Rectals." Some fun with Shadowpa...excuse me, "Justice League Dark" and antics ensue as the cosmic Marvels invade the regular Marvels. Rachel Rising is &%#$@& CREEPY, Miles Morales's dad is gonna bite it unless he doesn't, and Bendis and Bagley have a pretty entertaining crack at the same creator-owned superhero story we've seen half a dozen times elsewhere. Also, "Wolverine The Best There Is" continues to be one of the best there is. Also also, we didn't hate Voodoo as much as we hated Red Hood.

Plus more horsepower fun, PLUS more cat antics, PLUS Aaron takes some allergy medicine! YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS THIS EPISODE!! UNLESS YOU CAN!!

(Or save your money to buy my record when it comes out, which we talked about at great length this week, which I also fully support, even though it's driving me UP A DAMNED WALL.)
