ABC Podcast Episode #121, plus visual aids

Happy New Year, again! This episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by Stump the Music Critic, in which Aaron puts Evie to the test about music trivia and naturally cheats like it's his job. This week's awards have praise, gasps and tears for Sweet Tooth, cheers for Thanos Imperative: Devastation and Who is Jake Ellis?, as well as predictable love for X-Factor, even with its questionable jokes. We hand out some thank yous for year-end gifts, and there is some extra Pokemon talk if you need to fast forward.

I have to say, that was some rather suggestive banana talk...

Aaron, I wish I had had your response of "maybe this will turn out okay" at the later bit in Sweet Tooth, rather than the "OH NO" I actually said out loud...

Hope you feel better soon, Evie!

Hey guys, thanks for reading my recommendation of the My Little Pony show. And it is true that it's good for unironic reasons, granted there are still some ironic reason to watch it. And aside from Lauren Faust, my brother and I think we figured out why this new show is actually good. We compared the new show to the old show, and we found that the new show is written down to the audience. True the show is aimed at 10 year olds, but that doesn't mean it has to be written.

Also they did way with trying really hard to be overly cute for little girls, because you'll notice they did away with the Over use of "girl colors" such as Pink, Purple, and white.
Granted, the show is still really cute and sweet, but not to the sickening level.

It is over all a really good show, and if I had my little cousin over who wanted to watch it, I would have no argument. However, I just won't admit that I watch it in public.

Oh, the memories you've brought back with this show. In the Nineties I used to edit the UK My Little Pony Comics. Hasbro once rejected our regular writer's script so I had to write a fill-in overnight and got to bring back a character from an old MLP film, the Smooze.

Sadly, that's probably the highlight of my life.

And not why I came here to make a comment. What the heck was it?

Er ... oh yes, loved loved LOVED the pop critic quiz. It's years since I heard that Billy Joel song about the Eastern Alexa, and here I am listening to the whole Ultimate Collection. The man is bloody good.

Anyroadup, happy new year!
