This episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by Whale Facts, all of which are at least 140% true, and contain 0 grams of trans fat. In a week with a billion firsts and lasts, wins for Empowered, Mystery Men, 15 Love, Journey into Mystery, Unwritten, Kevin Keller, Birds of Prey, Rocket n' Groot, and others. We also briefly discuss the X-Men movie but spend more time on Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark (here's Evie's review) because you guys all saw X-Men and every 45 minutes someone else writes something new and smart about it.

Great show, y'all! Good to have you back.
I saw Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark back when it was crazy-awful, and the southern accent on the Green Goblin caught my eye too, so I checked online, and I remember finding an interview with Patrick Page. Page said his version of the Goblin is based on Atlanta media mogul Ted Turner, who is known for his environmentalism (he was behind the Captain Planet cartoon, for example). So, that's why the crazy environmentalist talks like a Georgian.
Has it been confirmed anywhere that Poison Ivy is in Birds of Prey? A rebooted Rose and Thorn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorn_(comics) seems like another possibility. She even knows Black Canary, apparantly.
It's good to have you all back. My podcast listening went down greatly last week
Clearly Aaron's Aarontee was kept. On that note, I need to buy some bonds that are Aaronteed.
Just wanted to say that there are two more issues of Birds of Prey before the reboot. This is Simone's last issue on the title, though.
You guys are cracking me the hell up with these "Whale Facts."
I come to you with a nitpick. It's pronounced Ed-in-burrah rather than Eedeenburg. All the other bits of the show were good, though!
I KNEW IT. I was going to stop Evie and correct her, but I figured she knew more than I did.
