ABCP Episode #135

This episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by, apparently, the fact that all of you, supposedly, like Evie better than Aaron and subconsciously psychically direct your good vibes more in her general direction, or something. Lots of great team books this week, with Thunderbolts, Generation Hope, X-Factor and Power Girl (which is sort of a team book at the moment) coming out on top. It's a handsy week, as nearly everyone cops a feel, and Aaron thinks this is awesome. The new season of Doctor Who premieres, thank god, as does a fun new Doctor Who comic.

Also if you've ever considered supporting the show, this would be the time to do so with a donation of your choosing over there at the top of the right sidebar.

Also, apologies for the current lack of visual aids--as everything in our house is falling apart around us, so goes our All-In-One--a new printer/scanner is on the buy list for this week.

ABC Podcast Episode #127, plus waffles

This "top 9!" episode of the Awesomed By Comics Podcast is brought to you by our good friend and special guest David Wolkin, and his delicious seasonal recipes. Big wins this week for blue covers, Johnny Red, a pinkish surfer, red and green hulks, a grey ghost and a yellow-bellied superman analogue. Booster Gold however...well, it did technically "win" something. Plus we stand up for the motor city, chat about Chat, try to process S.H.I.E.L.D. and remember briefly that Force Works existed, although we will all have forgotten again by next week.

(Pictures and stuff to come later, as has been usual the last few episodes.)

ABC Podcast, Episode #115 plus visual aids

This long-awaited episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by oh hey hello, how have you been in the three weeks since we've done a show? Any graduations, engagements, birth announcements? Really??? That's awesome!!! Yes we are back, after some work travel and music travel and some that was both at once. We unsurprisingly heap unending praise on Spider-Girl, Thunderbolts (except for ONE BAD THING) and Morning Glories, and perhaps somewhat surprisingly enjoy us a lot of Batmans. We also give mad ups to Superman-Batman, which is neither surprising nor unsurprising unless you also read it and know us at all, in which case, duh. There's a discussion about the new Harry Potter movie, and Aaron needs video game recommendations!

ABCP Episode #BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTT

Hey, you guys remember back when Evie was away and I pretended I electrocuted myself in the bathroom? That was funny.

What's not funny is serious electrical problems inside one's wall, severe enough that an outlet with nothing plugged into it is smoking. THERE IS NO SMOKING IN OUR HOUSE, OUTLET. TAKE IT OUTSIDE, OUTLET.

So blame Electro, or Living Lightning, or Black Lightning, or Static, or Electabuzz, or the fact that Superman is just walking around, but we have exactly one room of electricity right now, and it isn't the one with my recording equipment in it. And also the wall was kinda on fire.

Hoping the 24-hour electrician service comes through and we can get you a show tomorrow.

Yes we very probably can

Holy heck you guys. I'm exhausted and drunk on happies and hope while also majorly buzzkilled by my crap home state, which at the moment can break off and die in an earthquake for all I freaking care. Except for my family and many good friends, of course.

Anyway, I suppose maybe comic books come out today? I'll have to check on that.

Also, I noticed Andy Diggle twitter that he changed an upcoming script of Thunderbolts from saying "the president" to "President Obama," which made him happy, but which makes me go "dude, you're going to put President Obama in Norman Osborn's path of sociopathy? You dick."

ABC Podcast, Episode #16 and visual aids

This episode of Awesomed By Comics would be sponsored by Two and a Half Men, if it hadn't been interrupted by the unexpected appearance of a certain creator's rarefied air. Aaron hearts Nova 4ever, and Ubu Bubu once again yields the most absurd pages in comics. Fables has a slow period, while baby Justice Leaguers continue to enchant. Also, Aaron and Nova sittin in a tree.
